Each Cottage has: Washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, colour TV, video and DVD player, radio/CD player, barbecue, garden furniture, oil-fired central heating, bed linen. Cots and high chairs are available on request.
Other facilities include a well-equipped games room with pool table and table tennis and lots of games. Also we have a hot tub and sauna. There is a large playing field for ball games and kite flying etc. There are some beautiful places to walk and some lovely quiet lanes to explore on your bicycles around Goonwinnow.
Goonwinnow: is situated between the villages of Mitchell and St Newlyn East, both of which have a village pub. Newlyn also has a butcher, village shop and post office. We can organise baby-sitting if required and quiet, well-behaved dogs are welcome in two of the cottages.
The Area: Newquay, 6 miles away, is the centre of Cornish tourism and is the major surfing resort of the UK. In addition, the City of Truro with its cathedral is just 8 miles away. It has a large range of shops and restaurants. Falmouth with its sailing and yachting is 18 miles away. St Newlyn East 9 hole Golf Course nearby.
15 minutes away: North Cornwall beaches, golf at Perranporth and Newquay, horse riding, The Cornish Way cycle route, South West Coast path, Truro Cathedral City.
30 minutes away: South coast fishing villages, golf at Trevose and St Enodoc, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project, Padstow harbour, St Ives and the Tate Gallery and the National Maritime Museum.
In fact nowhere in Cornwall is more than an hour away!
The Beaches: Perranporth beach is 8 miles from Goonwinnow. Its 3 mile stretch of glorious sand is renowned as one of the best family beaches in Cornwall. Crantock and Holywell beaches are even closer.
